Our 600 hour Manicurist course teaches you the theory behind nails along with the hands-on training necessary to pass the Texas state board examinations and become licensed.   

Students can complete this course approximately 8 months. 


Course Description 

The Manicurist program provides entry-level training for students interested in becoming licensed to provide the public with nail services

Our Manicuring program curriculum covers the following areas (total program hours: 600) 

  • Anatomy and Physiology

  • Nail Structure and Growth

  • Equipment and Implements

  • Bacteriology, Sanitation and Safety

  • Hazardous Chemicals and Ventilation

  • Business Management

  • Laws and Rules

  • Product Chemistry

  • Practical procedures including:

    • Manicuring

    • Pedicuring

    • Hand, arm, and foot massage

    • Artificial Nails

    • Electric Filing

    • Nail Art

    • Gel Polish

    • Dip Nails

    • Sculptured nails, tips and wraps


Teaching and Learning Methods

Our course includes a mixture of traditional lecture theory partnered with hands-on demonstration and practical work on live models. We use traditional textbooks as well as an online classroom resource to ensure understanding and retention of training material.

Convenient Class Schedules 

We know that many of our students balance work and family while pursuing their education.

Our daytime program operates as follows:

Monday through Thursday: 9am-4:45pm in house

Friday: 9am-12pm via zoom

To provide additional flexibility for our students, our 20 hour per week class schedule is as follows: 

Monday through Thursday: 5:30pm-10:00pm in house

Friday: 5:30pm-7:30pm via zoom
